CazLync Sales ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

            Important: Our app collects and uses location data to provide core functionality.

Precise Location (GPS): When you use map features to view car listings on the map or search for cars near you
Approximate Location: To show relevant listings in your area
Background Location: Only when you actively use the app's map features (we do not track your location when the app is closed)

How we use location data:

Display car listings on an interactive map
Show listings near your current location
Enable area-based search functionality
Provide accurate location information for listed vehicles

Location data is:

Only collected when you actively use map features
Not shared with third parties for advertising purposes
Not stored permanently on our servers
Used solely to enhance your browsing and listing experience

You can control location permissions through your device settings at any time. Disabling location will limit map-based features but will not prevent you from using other app features.

1.3 Media and Device Information

When you create or interact with car listings, we may collect:

Photos and Videos: Images and videos you upload for car listings
Camera Access: To take photos directly within the app
Storage Access: To select photos/videos from your device gallery
Audio Recordings: If you use voice messaging features in chat

Device type, operating system, and version
App usage statistics and crash reports (via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics)

Car listings you create are publicly visible

Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, storage, analytics, and crash reporting
Google Sign-In: For authentication (if you choose this option)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure Firebase servers. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5.1 Access and Control

You have the right to:

Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
Opt-Out: Disable notifications in app settings

5.2 Location Permissions

You can control location access through your device settings:

Android: Settings > Apps > CazLync Sales > Permissions > Location
Choose: Allow all the time, Allow only while using the app, or Deny

5.3 Camera and Storage Permissions

You can revoke camera and storage permissions at any time through device settings. This will prevent you from uploading new photos but won't affect existing listings.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active
Listings remain visible until you delete them
Chat messages are retained for service functionality
Analytics data is retained according to Firebase's retention policies
When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days

7. Children's Privacy

CazLync Sales is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Services (Google LLC): Firebase Privacy Policy
Google Sign-In: Google Privacy Policy
OpenStreetMap (for maps): OpenStreetMap Privacy Policy

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Zambia, including the United States where Firebase servers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

10. Advertising

We do not currently display third-party advertisements in our app. We have explicitly removed advertising identifiers (AD_ID) from our app. We do not share your data with advertising networks.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
Updating the "Last Updated" date
Sending you a notification for significant changes

Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
